Location – Manchester

Rate- £40 Umbrella

Hours – 37 per week

An Adults Team Manager is required for the Learning Disabilities Team in Manchester.

The Learning disability review team is a new team within the Learning disability social work assessment and support teams.

Duties Include:

• Completing reviews and or reassessments as necessary
• Using Strength based practice and social networks theory to underpin person centered practice and outcomes.
• Coordinating the review team and allocating work
• Engaging with other teams and other partners all in the pursuit of person centered practice and outcomes for clients.
• Supervisions, team meetings, performance management
• Contributing to the delivery of strategic plans; contributing to the wider service deliver and management cover responsibilities.

The Adults Team Manager will have:

• Extensive statutory social worker and social care assessor supervision and management experience.
• Been a Practice Educator, best interests assessor or have been a AMHP
• Passion about least restrictive practice and maximizing peoples independence

This position with be office based but with the flexibility of home working when appropriate.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
