2 x 3 month Social Worker posts required in the Eccles & Irlam Neighbourhood Team to provide support in meeting immediate service demands in the team.  The position will predominantly include short-term assessment and review work, there may be some safeguarding work but safeguarding is not intended to be the focus.  Ideally, candidates should have good experience of community social work with adults with excellent knowledge of The Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2015.  They should be able to work independently and be confident in direct work utilising a strengths-based approach.

The team work in a hybrid way with 3 days a week expected to be office/community-based.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
