Hours: 37 and HYBRID WORKING

Rate: £35 per hour

An Adult Social Worker is required for the Locality Safeguarding Team in Barnsley.

Supporting individuals and their families through difficult times and ensuring that vulnerable people are safeguarded from harm. Our role is to help improve outcomes in people’s lives, maintain professional relationships and act as guides and advocates.

Once safeguarding concerns are screened they are forwarded to the locality safeguarding team for s42 to be completed.

You will need to be experienced in working with MSP and completing s42 enquiries.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Post qualification experience
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• One year minimum post qualified experience in Adult’s Social Work
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
