Blackpool Temporary, Full Time £35 - £35 per hour

Ashberry Recruitment are always recruiting for agency Social Workers, Senior Social Workers, Practice and Team Managers along with Support Workers and staff for Social Work Teams and Services across the Northwest of England.

This particular requirement is for an Agency Adult Social Worker to join our client Blackpool Council to work within their Community Team!

What our client says:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Adult Social Worker within a Community Team in Blackpool.

You will be working alongside multi-disciplinary colleagues to provide a joined up approach to meet the needs of individuals within our community.

You will need to have experience of carrying out assessments of need under the Care Act 2014 and devising and implementing asset based support plans, including supporting individuals to access universal and voluntary services.

You will be expected to carry out assessments, carers assessments and formulate support plans under the Care Act 2014.

Knowledge, experience and the ability to adhere to the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other Social Work legislation and practice guidance are also essential.

Preferable experience of:

Managing an active caseload.
Undertaking safeguarding investigations.
Continuing health care assessments and attendance at multi-agency meetings.
Multi-disciplinary working.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have a passion for Social Work practice and has experience of working with adults in a community setting. You will have the ability to develop, maintain and improve relationships with people and their carers as well as the attributes required to participate in multi-disciplinary team working.

Office based role.

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work and will be registered with Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
Have a full driving licence and car available for work along with business insurance.
Have an enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on the information available, ensuring effective relationships with other professionals.
Can work within and contribute to a team.
Possess knowledge of service needs for ethnic minority communities.
Have confident IT skills and be able to navigate an electronic file system.
Can write clear, concise, and robust reports.
Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises.
Contracts are full-time, but part time and flexible working hours may be considered. Contracts are normally offered over a 3-month period before rolling on for another 3 more months at a time.
