Details:
Have a rota to be in the office 1 day a week depending on the rota
Currently have 1 team to look after
Manage the triage and section 42 around on of the locality teams (North) and looking at the backlog helping with the management of the service/HR
Support the transitions for the North Locality team
Extensive knowledge around section 42 and team management
only going to be 5 within the team but currently have 8 in the team at the moment
based in the Civic on the floor with various other teams
Would be strategic links to the hub – an oversight
Working closely across the city so working closely with them only have the operational support
General Role Description
As part of the management team, the Team Leader will be responsible to lead and manage an adult social care team and will play a crucial role in developing the principles of our practice framework. Your role will be to ensure our teams are working alongside people, to listen and understand what matters to them and how to support people to live a good life. Our role is to support and protect adults who may be at risk of abuse or neglect in line with the Care Act 2014. The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring service objectives are achieved as well as ensuring adult social care and support is delivered as an integral function of the council’s performance management framework. The team leader is a key role responsible for ensuring mechanisms are in place for understanding data and monitoring performance in terms of finance, quality and the achievement of relevant internal and external targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
Core responsibilities and duties will include:
Deputising for the Head of Service, and Service Manager as required, and providing cover for colleagues.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
