Rate: £35 per hour

A Children’s Social Worker is required for the Connected Carers Team Assessment Service in Stockport.

We are recruiting a full time Assessing Social Worker to cover sick leave for approx. 3 months. The main duties are completion of Form C Assessments many of which are court directed. Due to the short duration of the contract it is essential that the successful applicant has experience of working within a connected care/fostering team and has experience of completing Form C Assessments, Viability Assessments and Regulation 24 assessments.

Experience of using Liquid Logic is desirable.

Alongside the role of Assessing Social Worker the successful applicant will be required to undertake the task of duty leave social worker this includes attending and representing the team at LPM and CPMs and undertaking VAs and Reg 24 assessments. Experience of resenting items to the fostering panel is essential.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Post qualification experience
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• One year minimum post qualified experience in Children’s Social Work
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
