The successful candidate will be expected to be office based for a minimum of 3 days per week, however this could be more depending on the demands of the service.

Previous experience of working with children with disabilities, either in a current post of recent social work post.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced social worker who can work autonomously and be a team player, to support and work alongside colleagues within the team.

The role requires Social Workers to;
• have good communication skills, working with children who are non-verbal and have individual
communication needs
• complete assessments for children and their families
• Undertake court work and PLO work
• Complete short breaks assessments
• work with a variety of professionals in health, education and social care
• Cover duty within the team
• respond to safeguarding matters and carry out section 47 enquiries where appropriate

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
