Rochdale Temporary, Full Time £35 - £35 per hour

This particular requirement is for an Agency Social Worker to join our client Rochdale Borough Council to work within their Post Order & Permanence Team!

What our client says:

We are seeking to appoint a social worker to the Post Order & Permanence Team which is based in the Cared 4 Children Service. This is a dedicated Permanence team progressing and supporting plans of Permanence which are outside of long term public care. Typically this involves Special Guardianship, Placement with Parents, Placement order – progressing plans of Adoption.

We are a specialist social work team working with families who have experienced the court process. The team is managed by an experienced manager and we have a committed dedicated social work service who continually go the extra mile for our children.

We are looking for an experienced, flexible, enthusiastic and conscientious Social Worker with experience in managing complex cases (Placement with Parents, Supervision Orders, Special Guardianship Orders). The successful candidate will be part of a developing, proactive and supportive team and will assist in its approach to providing a social work service to support children and young people placed within their families.
We have a commitment to continuing to embed our Relational Practice Model and to keeping caseloads at a manageable level to be able to achieve that.

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work and will be registered with Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
Have a full driving licence and car available for work along with business insurance.
Have an enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on the information available, ensuring effective relationships with other professionals.
Can work within and contribute to a team.
Possess knowledge of service needs for ethnic minority communities.
Have confident IT skills and be able to navigate an electronic file system.
Can write clear, concise, and robust reports.
Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises.
Contracts are full-time, but part time and flexible working hours may be considered. Contracts are normally offered over a 3-month period before rolling on for another 3 more months at a time.
