Day Assistant Support Worker – Part Time

Sheffield Contract, Part Time £12.87 - £12.87 per hour

Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for a Day Assistant Support Worker for our client based in Sheffield.

As a Day Assistant Support Working you will be providing support within a Single Homeless setting.

Some of your duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Supporting vulnerable young people or adults with the following needs: Drug and Alcohol Misuse, Sexual Exploitation, Domestic Violence and Mental Health
  • Working as part of a small team
  • Carrying out client needs and risk assessment for all referrals
  • Supporting tenants through individual resettlement support plans
  • To ensure clients comply with their tenancy agreement
  • Supporting clients with welfare rights, budgeting, employment, education, and training
  • Liaising with all relevant housing agencies to find suitable move on accommodation for tenants
  • Develop links with the local community
  • Ensure communication systems are accurately maintained and up to date
  • Maintenance of the Health and Safety incident and accident records
  • To be aware of and work within agreed organisation policies and procedures

Requirements for the role:

  • Enhanced DBS Check (A check will need to be carried out if no current DBS is in place)

Hours 

24 Hours Per Week – (Based on a rota – weekends will be required but not every weekend)

Gender Occupational Requirement:

This role is open to female applicants only, as permitted under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, due to the nature of the work providing support to women who have experienced domestic abuse.
