We require an experienced Deputy Team Manager within Children in Care and Children Looked After (Permanence Service) to effectively support the Team Manager and Social Work team.

The candidate must have a proven track record as a Deputy Team Manager in Permanence and be confident in the application of all legal proceedings and legal frameworks.

Must be experienced in promoting stable placements and implement positive long-term change and improvements.

Will support a high-performance culture within the team, with consistent good practice across the team.

Will actively support the team manager in decision making, chairing meetings and actively working with partners/multi-agencies.

Will support all recruitment, induction, training and effective supervision of all team members, championing professional career development. Will be a Practice Educator.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
