Employment Coach

Lancaster, Lancashire, UK Contract, Part Time £21150 - £22650 per annum

Ashberry Recruitment are looking for an Employment Coach on a fixed term basis to provide information, support and coaching to enable customers to progress into education, training and employment.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To provide information and intensive support and coaching to customers on employment and training issues, utilising an individually tailored approach in order to achieve progression
  • To identify suitable training, employment and education opportunities, ensuring that customers can access these effectively
  • To work with a variety of local agencies including Lancaster City Council
  • To create individual action plans to support with customers progression into work education or training; reviewing these within appropriate timescales
  • To maintain records of clients, contacts and action taken & record information in the required format on the VIEWS database
  • To organise work experience placements where appropriate in accordance with their needs, providing support throughout
  • Transitional support and guidance once clients are employed or in training.
  • To develop links with local employers/ training agencies
  • To collect monitoring information to help evaluate the success of the project, and to produce reports and information as required for management, trustees and funders
  • To ensure that people are protected through knowledge of adult and child safeguarding procedures
  • To offer a non-discriminatory service and work within an equal opportunity’s framework
  • To work within with Key’s policies and procedures including data protection and health and safety
  • To participate fully in supervision meetings and the annual appraisal process and undertake any training deemed necessary for the role
  • To regularly attend staff meetings
  • To have access to a car and be prepared to use it for work in all parts of Lancaster and surrounding areas
