Role Release: Temp Independent Reviewing Officer – Looked After Children
I will be releasing a Temporary Independent Reviewing Officer role in the next hour. This position is within the Looked After Children service, and substantial prior experience is essential.
Key Details:
• Contract Length: Until the end of December
• Rate: £40 per hour (Umbrella)
• Location: Minimum of 3 days on-site per week
• Please note: This role does not involve chairing child protection conferences.
Candidate Requirements:
• Extensive experience across various statutory social work teams, particularly with looked after children and families
• Proven ability to chair complex meetings and work effectively within a multi-agency framework
• Thorough understanding of the legal framework relating to looked after children, including:
o Care Planning Regulations
o Duties and responsibilities of the Independent Reviewing Officer as outlined in the IRO Handbook
• Minimum of 3 years permanent experience within a local authority
