Key Account Manager

Skipton, North Yorkshire, UK Permanent, Full Time £30000 - £40000 per annum

Ashberry Recruitment are looking for a Key Account Manager for our client based on the outskirts of Skipton.

We are looking for an outgoing, intelligent and ambitious individual who is looking to contribute to a dynamis and growing company.

Job Purpose

To be an integral part of the sales and marketing team looking after key clients, suppliers and other stakeholders ensuring that we build with them long lasting, mutually beneficial and profitable partnerships. A prime customer facing role to capture key members needs and deliver against their expectations, striving to exceed these wherever possible. Identifying, developing, and maintaining agreements with suppliers and delivery partners in support of the business objectives and the changing regulatory landscape. Seeking out new and innovative ways of working with external stakeholders to ensure we continuously enhance the brand.

Key Role Responsibilities (there are more!)

  • Account manage and build relationships with key customers and suppliers to include providing support in relation to all their needs and gathering intelligence to inform organisational strategy and decision making
  • Attend networking events
  • Identify and generate sales opportunities through cross-selling, up-selling and identifying new prospects and supporting the sales team with closing them
  • Customer retention
  • Monitoring and reporting on competitor activity
  • Support with, and manage high-value tenders
  • Review and optimise commercial contracts
  • Develop new strategies to drive business growth
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to shape Comply Directs offering to meet the requirements of the market
  • Keeping internal systems up to date and accurate with all information gathered

The Person

With a proven track record as a successful business to business account manager, you will have excellent communication skills and be fully adept with Microsoft Office.  You will work well in a team with a ‘muck in’ approach being flexible and open to change when business demands require. You must have a strong work ethic working well under pressure with excellent organisational skills.  You will have the ability to turn a challenging situation into a positive outcome and have a positive, enthusiastic, and persistent approach.  With the ability to quickly grasp technical legislation and policy, you will be instantly likeable and a true people person.  A wicked sense of humour is a bonus too!

Salary

  • Negotiable depending on experience
