Production Supervsior

Ashberry Recruitment are looking for a Production Supervisor to work for our well respected client based in Grassington, Skipton.

The business currently produces and distributes milk, along with other associated dairy products, throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding area.

Role

The role is a key link within the dairy operation, reporting to the Production Manager. The successful applicant must be a conscientious, competent individual who expects high standards from both themselves & staff under their control.

Key responsibilities

• Record and document data as required by Management.
• Positive release of finished product and quality control checks C.I.P.
• Completion of various production check sheets.
• Stock Control of Production Materials (Bottles, Labels, Caps, etc).
• Monitor and report on staff performance, undertake performance reviews and staff training.
• Review daily job rotas

Instruct & oversee teams of Dairy Operators in the following areas:

• Production and Packing of Finished Product
• Picking of Orders and Loading of Vehicles
• Ensuring stock control and rotation is adhered to.
• Ensuring Housekeeping and Cleaning of plant, equipment and working areas is carried out and checked

This is a hands-on role & the successful applicant will need to be physically fit as it may involve loading/checking vehicles when necessary.

This is a full-time position based around an average 48 hour working week, working 5 out of 6 days which will include a Saturday. Bank holidays will be included in the working week. A company pension scheme is in place.
