Our client, a large and well-known residential childcare provider are looking to appoint motivated and knowledgeable Residential Child Care Workers to join their specialist team within a children’s home in the Preston area.
As a Residential Childcare Worker you will be committed to providing a positive and stable environment for the young people within your care. We are looking for experienced, professional individuals dedicated to enriching and making a positive difference to the lives of these vulnerable young people.
Successful applicants will have experience of working within a children’s home and supporting young people who present with emotional and behavioural difficulties, including young offenders and those at risk of Child Criminial Exploitation.
Residential Child Care Workers must be resilient and approachable for work with these youngsters who can be both verbally, physically and mentally challenging as a result of their often-traumatic life experiences.
An NVQL3 Residential Child Care qualification is essential, as is a driving licence and potential candidates will be subject to a vigorous screening process including references and enhanced DBS checks.
This is a permanent full time role working 48 hour shifts ( 2 x long days with sleeps) across 7 days to include weekends and bank holidays. Ideally you will work via the agency for the first 16 weeks but those candidates looking for immediate direct employment will also be considered.
