Our client, a small but successful social care provider, are looking to appoint a caring and empathetic Residential Child Care Worker & a Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join their team within their specialist residential provision in the Derby area.
As a Senior/Residential Childcare Worker you will be committed to providing a supportive and encouraging environment for the children within your care. We are looking for experienced professionals dedicated to the well-being and welfare of these vulnerable young people.
Successful applicants will have experience of working within a children’s home and supporting young people who present with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, including challenging behaviours.
Senior/Residential Child Care Workers must be patient and conscientious for work with these youngsters who place their trust in staff to protect and guide them through their day-to-day challenges.
An NVQL3 Residential Child Care qualification would be preferable and is essential for the senior role, as would physical intervention training such as MAPA. A driving licence is essential and potential candidates will be subject to a vigorous screening process including references and enhanced DBS checks.
Applicants for the senior role must have supervisory experience and the ability to lead a team, plan shifts and support in the compilation of behaviour/care plans and risk assessments.
This is a permanent full-time role working early, late and sleep shifts across 7 days a week.
