Our client, a small but successful social care provider, are looking to appoint 2 caring and empathetic Senior Residential Support Workers to join their teams within their specialist provision across the Greater Manchester area.
One role will involve working in their residential children’s home for those who present with autism, learning and physical disabilities.
The second available role is within the domiciliary & supported living strand of the organization, supporting service users out in the community of all ages; again, with autism, learning and physical disabilities.
As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker you will be committed to providing a supportive and encouraging environment for the children, young people or vulnerable adults within your care. We are looking for experienced professionals dedicated to the well-being and welfare of these complex service users.
Successful applicants will have experience of working within a children’s home or support living service and supporting young people and/or adults who present with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, including challenging behaviours. You will be proficient in the leadership of a team and planning of shifts.
Senior Residential Child Care Workers must be patient and conscientious for work with these residents and service users who place their trust in staff to protect and guide them through their day-to-day challenges.
An NVQL3 Residential Child Care/Health & Social Care qualification is essential, as is a driving licence and potential candidates will be subject to a vigorous screening process including references and enhanced DBS checks.
This is a permanent full-time role working early, late and sleep shifts across 7 days a week. This role includes on call duties, paid at a supplement.
