We are seeking a candidate with experience of working with children in care. That has the knowledge and experience around children in care specific processes.
we would like someone who is a strong advocate for children in care, who can create meaningful relationships with young people.
we are seeking a candidate who can follow Derbyshire processes and procedures around seeing young people and responding to their needs. This may be in a planned way or in crisis intervention.
the ideal candidate will be child focussed in their decision making, and be able to respond to children who can struggle with their attachment.
The team work to an ethos that we do not give up on our children and we are seeking someone who holds this ethos to.

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
