We are seeking an experienced and confident social worker to manage a complex caseload, including:
• Child and Family Assessments
• Child in Need and Child Protection cases
• Care Proceedings through to permanence

This role involves lead practitioner responsibilities alongside other social workers, but does not include supervisory or line management duties.

The ideal candidate will:
• Practice restoratively with children and families, promoting family-led decision-making
• Demonstrate strong relational skills and the ability to engage children through direct, child-centred work
• Possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands
• Deliver high-quality assessments and written work with strong analytical skills
• Contribute to a supportive, learning-focused team environment

Requirements:
• Must be able to drive and have access to a car
• Must hold a clean DBS
• 37 hours per week | 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Office-based during duty weeks; hybrid working (including one WFH day or compressed hours) is negotiable on non-duty weeks

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
