Hours: 37 and HYBRID WORKING

Rate: £37.23 per hour

A Children’s Social Worker is required for the Child Protection Service in Oldham.

An experienced child protection social worker is required for the Child Protection Service that completes C&F assessments, Section 7&37, CIN and CP plans along with PLO.

• CP transfer point at first hearing
• FREE Parking
• Permanent Team Manager Group within CP and CLA
• Average case load in CP 18 children
• Full IT to a high standard
• Hybrid working – minimum 2 days in the office
• Support services in Knowsley including however, not extensive: Family Group Conference, Edge of Care intensive support, Family Support, CE specialist Teams, MASH that is well established, fully functional Early Help Offer and MST
• Robust senior leadership support from visible leaders
• Recently audited by peers and received high praise in relation to PLO and actions that the LA take to safeguard
• Ofsted focused visit complete following inspection last year and viewed as improving

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Post qualification experience
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
• One year minimum post qualified experience in Children’s Social Work
• Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
• Possess knowledge of service needs.
• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
• Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
• Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
