A Children’s Social Worker in a Duty and Assessment role responds to urgent concerns about a child’s safety or well-being by conducting child and family assessments, making immediate safety plans, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure the child is protected and linked to appropriate, longer-term support if needed. Key duties include carrying out Section 47 and Section 17 enquiries, creating robust care plans, preparing for and participating in formal case reviews, and maintaining strong professional relationships with children, families, and partner agencies to deliver effective safeguarding and welfare services

• DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.

• Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
