Supervising Social Worker

Details:
Children’s placement Service-Fostering, Support and Development.
Rate £33.30
Being a member and team player of an established Support and development service.
Having a good knowledge and experience working in accordance to Fostering regs, NMS standards.
Understanding and able to ensure all compliance for foster parents is updated, recorded on LCS.
Communicate and support foster parents with trauma informed understanding and therapeutic principles.
To supervise foster carers ensuring all key areas of the role are discussed, recorded and challenged where necessary.
To carry a case load of foster parents and complete all tasks in accordance to the role of SSW.
To be able to be efficient recording fostering annual reviews and when required to present to panel.
To attend team meetings and work as part of the team supporting others where necessary.
To be part of a duty rota, supporting foster carers, completing viability assessments when required. Twice per month.
We offer a hybrid-work at home policy with access to office space at the Guildhall building in Shrewsbury.( Foster parents live mainly in Shropshire County. Hybrid working approach. Ability to work more at home with occasional office presence. More office presence is available if this is wanted by the agency worker)

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
