Agency Senior Quality Assurance Officer – Manchester

Manchester Temporary, Full Time £35 - £38 per hour

This requirement is for an Agency Senior Quality Assurance Officer to join our client Manchester City Council within their Manchester Safeguarding Partnership’s (MSP) – Children Services.

This is an exciting post with lots of opportunities to contribute across all aspects of the Manchester Safeguarding Partnership’s (MSP) safeguarding effectiveness work including quality assurance, audit and review, data collection and analysis, practice improvement, providing consultation, delivering engagement projects and most importantly ensuring that the partnership operates from a child and adult at risk perspective.

About the role:

Quality Assurance (QA) is a key first-line and strategic control that helps the partnership detect the risk of poor citizen’s at risk outcomes, whilst providing feedback and support to our front-line colleagues to drive a better service user experience, as well as helping to ensure our legal and regulatory obligations are met.

You will be responsible for ensuring the relevant partnership objectives are met by closely monitoring KPIs, quality and performance, whilst also effectively managing the safeguarding effectiveness sub-group workplan.

You will work as part of the MSP Business Support Team, and our team approach is a whole partnership approach with lots of collaborative working with our partner agencies. Roles within the team include Assurance and Review Co-Ordinator, Learning and Improvement Officer and Business Support.

What we’re looking for in our Senior Quality Assurance Officer:

  • Experience in proven capability in a Performance Management and/or Quality Assurance
  • Experience in managing performance and priorities against key performance indicators and metrics to ensure objectives are met, raising areas for improvement when not met
  • The ability to interpret a range of qualitative and quantitative information and share this in a meaningful and insightful way with various key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to communicate results at various levels and influence other business areas to help support the MSP Effectiveness Framework
  • Good Office-based skills

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work and will be registered with Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
  • Have a full driving licence and car available for work along with business insurance.
  • Have an enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on the information available, ensuring effective relationships with other professionals.
  • Can work within and contribute to a team.
  • Possess knowledge of service needs for ethnic minority communities.
  • Have confident IT skills and be able to navigate an electronic file system.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust reports.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises.
  • Contracts are full-time, but part time and flexible working hours may be considered. Contracts are normally offered over a 3-month period before rolling on for another 3 more months at a time.

With the current covid circumstances, there is home/remote/agile working available within a lot of these requirements along with suitable allocation of PPE.
